Immortalizing Jyukai on YouTube!

Having only slept for three hours, I desperately tried to find a way to make the most of my “free” time. Then, it hit me. I’ve always wanted to upload the obscure Jyukai songs which nobody ever listens to! In fact, these three are my top favorite songs and yet they are on the verge of being thrown into the void of forgotten music.

Well, it stops now!

I have now uploaded the three songs on YouTube! I even took the liberty of painstakingly placing English subtitles on each of the videos, just so you can enjoy them at the fullest (which took me several hours by the way)! So turn on the subtitles/CC portion of the YouTube video, make sure to play them on the highest quality available, and enjoy! 🙂

心灯歌 -しんとうか-
The Heart’s Lamp

Released in 2007 as part of the harvest album and was an original single part of the “almost” compilation disc. This was the first song that truly struck a chord or two in me.

The Way Home

A piano+vocals piece released as part of the 2007 single Ai no Hoshi/Hanamuke no Melody in 2007. It’s just pure soul.

Omoide ni Naru Mae ni
Before You Turn into Memories

Probably the last single that will ever be released by Jyukai. It became part of the compilation album Jyukai BEST ~stairway to the future~ in 2010. The summation of everything Jyukai rolled into one and still my top favorite.

That’s it! I hope you liked them!

Transcriptions Puhleeease

..for the following, if you have some time. Thanks a lot 🙂

For the upper video, which is A Little Pain by Olivia Lufkin, I want a piano/guitar one if possible. Voice may or may not be included 🙂

Other songs which I cannot find a video anywhere on the net:

Kaerimichi by Jyukai.

Maiochiru Yuki no You ni by Suara.

In another news with regards to my life, I congratulate the Los Angeles Lakers for winning their championship earlier this day (+8GMT). I pity the Boston Celtics. They played so damn hard, but only 1 team has to win it. Congratulations also to the Netherlands for winning their first World Cup game, and also to Germany for the victory. It’s so sad however that they (Germans) lost to the Serbians a while ago 😦

I also happened to finish watching Nana, the anime. Wow, just wow! What a great show, especially Olivia! @_@. Now I want to buy the CD featuring Anna Tsuchiya inspi’ Nana of BLAST and Olivia Lufkin inspi’ Reira of Trapnest. Will there be a second season to this anime? Please let me know soon. Domo arigatou.

Ja ne.

Major Update Post

End of Fight, Almost

Wow, it’s already 2010! And you know what that means (at least I do). I’d be entering 5th year college next semester. Yipee! But before that, I have to undergo a not-so-serious on-the-job training in a company very near to our school. Plus, the bosses there are also my teachers, so it should be a breeze (I hope). That’s the good thing. The sad thing is that some of my friends have graduated already, leaving the comforts of Katipunan just like that. It was lightning fast! It only seemed like the other day when we all first met, but now, we had to bid farewell to each other. Hopefully though, we may see each other often in the near future (please?). Haha.

On this OJT, I have to complete 200 hours of work and the nature of my work is Android apps programming. I have zero knowledge on this one so bless me God so that I can understand it in a jiffy. Next sem, I will have a major elective (3 units) and a free elective (3 units). I wonder what I will be getting for my free elective. I wanted either Japanese Language 1 or Basic Rudiments of Music since these are my interests, but I’m thinking career-wise as well, having Java as a possible choice (since it’s a must need in companies XD). So I hope I can decide before the end of May. For now, I will be focusing on the tasks that I will be given for the next 5 weeks or so. Ganbatte!

Music <-> Life

As much as I would like to integrate my music into my life, it’s very hard for me to do it. For one, I’m seriously lacking time and, believe it or not, motivation. Seriously, I just want to lie down in bed most of the time and doze off to neverland. Gawd, I need an enlightenment. But for now, I am truly enjoying Jyukai, especially the new album which has just arrived 3 weeks ago. My recent favorite has got to be Omoide ni Naru Mae ni for its unbelievable theme. Every time I listen to it, I felt like writing and various images come to mind in an instant. Again, I will seek help from Keiri to translate the lyrics of the song. As soon as she finishes it, I will upload it here naturally. 🙂

It has also been a while since I’ve played something from my keyboard, and I really miss it. :[ I want to play Chiisana te no Hira since I also miss Clannad hahaha. I hope to accomplish this sometime this summer. Also, I’m looking for kind-hearted transcribers for piano/keyboard of a song, so if you are one of them, please drop by a comment. It will be highly appreciated. I will do anything to my capabilities to give something in return if you have decided to transcribe it for me. Thank you in advance. 🙂

Life Update :)

Earlier this day, I went to school to register for the second semester. Lo and behold, it would be one of the worst days of my life since I could remember.

  • I arrived early at the enlistment class and just when the personnel printed my assessment form, it ended up an eternity for me. I waited for a VERY VERY long time! Other students have come and go, and yet there’s still no sign of my printed form! It took me more than 15 minutes before finally getting my hands on my form. (Stress O’ Meter: 20%)
  • Just when we are about to enlist in our classes, I found out there are actually 3 conflicts in the department class schedules! Not 1, not 2, but 3! Until now, it’s not yet fixed BS! (Stress O’ Meter: 60%)
  • I lined up for the payment of tuition TWICE! And it’s not even my fault! FK! (Stress O’ Meter: 85%)
  • I lined up for the ID Validation, only to find out that the line was not supposed to be there in the first place. So I had to line up again! (Stress O’ Meter: 90%)
  • I had a three game losing streak in FIFA. 😛 (Stress O’ Meter: 95%)

I just hope this sem will be as good, if not better, than the my last semester. 🙂

In any case, I also joined NaNoWriMo, and so far, my progress has been great (mainly because there are still no classes YET). I’m writing a little bit of fantasy-reality this time, but still slice-of-life/romance type. 😛 When I get the time to publish it again, please do read it. Comments highly appreciated. My last year experience was great, although I did not win. But this time, I’ll make sure it’ll be a WIN.

Anime-wise, I can’t find the motivation to finish Spice and Wolf 2, so yeah, I think I’m on the brink of dropping it. But “motivatedly” I will still watch White Album S2, Kimi ni Todoke, and Kobato. That’s for sure. 🙂

Sports-wise, the Phillies are fighting for their lives and I do hope they pull themselves together before the world witnesses another Yankee Championship. I’m getting tired of it. Utley for 3 HR in one inning yeah! Sevilla will have their UCL match later so yah, a win will secure their place in the last 16. Their table position is not so bad too, so I hope they continue it and improve even more. However, Aston Villa and Tottenham are not really performing well. Let’s hope they improve greatly sooner and later. Atlanta Hawks are in good form, but much to my demise, the Hornets aren’t. What a great disappointment. 😦

Also, I’m currently trying to play Kioku no Kakera in the piano. My goal before the this semester ends is to be able to play Toki wo Kizamu Uta. It’s very difficult, but I hope I get to pull it off. Looks like I’m also interested in playing Chiisana te no Hira, so we’ll see.

FIFA ’10 and NBA 2k10 are out in the stores now, so I hope I could play them real soon. 🙂

Jyukai, where art thou? I’m still waiting for your next singles. :[

Well, I’ll be busy writing my novel now: Princess of the Night. Please do look forward to it. Ja ne! 🙂

Thanks to that Half-Moon

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora – I only discovered this anime while browsing the “Anime you might like” after watching Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, since both of them explored on love being complicated by illness. In a nutshell, Yuuichi is diagnosed with hepatitis, making him stay for a while at a local hospital in Ise, with a comic nurse, Akiko, looking after him. It turns out also that a girl named Rika transferred to that same hospital, but for a different reason – she has a severe heart disease. She might undergo surgery, it is more likely that she would not be able to make it. With this, Yuuichi has to make a choice, to live life on his own and pursue his dreams, or to stay with Rika – an unpleasant ending knowing Rika would just have little time to live.

The animation is cute, but it’s not worth mentioning. Although compared to others, it is quite considerable. As you can see, this is another slice-of-life anime, which I’m very fond of, so yah, if you like one, you have to watch this. The story is compelling, and it even uses lines from famous books which Rika likes.

The story is so good, they even made a live-action out of it. In turn, I might as well check it out. The ending was, umm, okay I did not expect it. Or rather, it kept on asking questions inside me. I wish there could’ve been a second season of the OVA >< But I guess it’s the best way to end this kind of anime.

The voice acting was at par – some scenes required greater emotions when delivered, but I guess Natsume-sensei, the doctor who is in charge with Rika, did pretty well, knowing that her wife suffered the same heart condition.

The opening and ending songs were really great. In fact, I can’t stop listening and singing to the ending song of Hantsuki. Kioku no Kakera by Noboku. As soon as I heard it, I already searched for the music sheet and practiced it for hours after that. But I’m not a good a piano player so it took a while before I can get the rhythm of the chorus. The melody’s great and the choice of both the OP and ED were very fitting for the anime. That aside, they could’ve placed some intense BGM’s along the way. You know what I’m saying, heh.

Overall, the series was great, and you will really spend the most of your 120 minutes of your life here. I know I’m being biased, but hey, this is my blog. I can say whatever I want hah! 🙂 8.3/10. I’m a sucker for good music. ^^
Somebody please tell me there will be a second season to this one. Hahaha. XD

For the sake of my life, I will be yours.

Meanwhile, please enjoy the ED, as much as I do. ^^

Here is an impressive cover of the song in guitar:

And finally, a piano version, w/c I’m practicing now:

*Again, I do not credit myself to the pictures and videos.

Music Sheets Please

Konnichiwa minna-san!

I badly needed piano music sheets for the following songs. If any of you have the incredible skill of transcribing by ear, then please, I would really appreciate it and will do anything (at my capabilities) for you in return. If you need clear copy MP3s of the songs, please drop a comment and I’d gladly share them to you. 🙂

Arigatou gozaimasu! 🙂
