Major Earthquake Trend?

1. Feb. 27, 2010 – magnitude 8.8 quake in Chile. 188 days later…
2. Sept. 23, 2010 – magnitude 7.0 quake in New Zealand. 189 days later…
3. March 11, 2011 – magnitude 9.0 quake in Japan. 188 days later…
4. Sept. 15, 2011 – magnitude 7.3 quake in Fiji. 187 days later…
5. March 20, 2012 – magnitude 7.9 quake in Mexio. 188 days later…
6. Sept. 24, 2012 – ?

Unsurprisingly, all these areas lie in the Pacific Ring of Fire. Whether these are all just uncanny coincidence or in fact a trend, it is better to be prepared. But the question is, how?

  2. I agree with sir totomai. I hope there’ll be no earthquake again soon.. 😦

  4. I’d say ingat pa rin … coincidence or not, better safe than sorry.

  5. And as we speak, a 8.6 magnitude EQ just blasted off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. Again, tsunami warnings are on high alert. Memories of the 2004 megathrust earthquake come springing back to life where approximately 230,000 people were killed by the tsunami in the Indian Ocean.
