The title says it all. Obviously though, age helped Manny a lot to win this “Dream Fight”, but nevertheless, a win is a win. The odds of Manny winning this bout is 2-1. But Manny proved that agility is the key to success in this matchup. With all due respect to the legacy of Oscar de la Hoya, the signs of aging are evident in this one – and that cost him the battle.

Manny is the early aggressor in the match while Oscar can’t do anything about it. Oscar keeps on receiving punch after punch while he saw some of his fierce strikes miss and bow down before Manny’s speed. Roach’ strategy frustrated Oscar and worn him down for good.

Eventually, Oscar quit after 8 rounds – TKO. In the end, Manny emerged victorious as he cried and prayed in his corner.

Congratulations Manny “The Pacman” Pacquiao! We, the Filipinos, are very proud of you! You truly are a Filipino legend.

Mabuhay! ^^
