Yes sir! Lately, me and my guys have been helplessly addicted to frisbee! It’s a game that you don’t need to be an expert at to enjoy. All you need is a decent stamina and off you go! It’s really fun, you should try it! :)

Meanwhile, we have finally started creating a website for our project/competition entry. How was it? F*** it. I can’t believe it’s so damn hard to create a website. OMG please help us. Especially to all ActionScript 3.0 or Adobe Flex (MXML/XML with integrated GSM abilities, SQL/PHP, CSS/HTML), I need your help in coding parts of our website. Please? Thanks in advance. ^^

Consequently therefore, I failed to win at my NaNoWriMo endeavors once again, but that doesn’t disappoint because I actually enjoyed it. I will still keep writing when I have time because I enjoyed writing it. When it’s out, you better read it. ^^

Well, so long for now. Still waiting for that new Jyukai album. n_n

Sources say that an ”HQ – CD” (a better quality disc that ensures tracks to be as close as the original) album will be released entitled Promise, which will be out December 9th this year! This will serve as a gift to everyone celebrating Makoto Shinkai’s brilliance and Tenmon’s artistry, who have been collaborating for the past 10 years!

Also, it seems like Jyukai will FINALLY be releasing their next album, Stairway to the future~. The date that you must mark on your calendars – January 20, 2010. You don’t know the patience that we, Jyukai fans, have endured just to finally listen to their exceptional music once again. :) *love*

In any case, the first two days of the semester is not living up to my expectations – it exceeded them! I thought it’s gonna be real difficult and tiring and all, but guess what, it’s an understatement! Holy crap. Will have to strive harder and build up more patience as soon as possible. Ja ne. :)

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora - I only discovered this anime while browsing the “Anime you might like” after watching Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, since both of them explored on love being complicated by illness. In a nutshell, Yuuichi is diagnosed with hepatitis, making him stay for a while at a local hospital in Ise, with a comic nurse, Akiko, looking after him. It turns out also that a girl named Rika transferred to that same hospital, but for a different reason – she has a severe heart disease. She might undergo surgery, it is more likely that she would not be able to make it. With this, Yuuichi has to make a choice, to live life on his own and pursue his dreams, or to stay with Rika – an unpleasant ending knowing Rika would just have little time to live.

The animation is cute, but it’s not worth mentioning. Although compared to others, it is quite considerable. As you can see, this is another slice-of-life anime, which I’m very fond of, so yah, if you like one, you have to watch this. The story is compelling, and it even uses lines from famous books which Rika likes.

The story is so good, they even made a live-action out of it. In turn, I might as well check it out. The ending was, umm, okay I did not expect it. Or rather, it kept on asking questions inside me. I wish there could’ve been a second season of the OVA >< But I guess it’s the best way to end this kind of anime.

The voice acting was at par – some scenes required greater emotions when delivered, but I guess Natsume-sensei, the doctor who is in charge with Rika, did pretty well, knowing that her wife suffered the same heart condition.

The opening and ending songs were really great. In fact, I can’t stop listening and singing to the ending song of Hantsuki. Kioku no Kakera by Noboku. As soon as I heard it, I already searched for the music sheet and practiced it for hours after that. But I’m not a good a piano player so it took a while before I can get the rhythm of the chorus. The melody’s great and the choice of both the OP and ED were very fitting for the anime. That aside, they could’ve placed some intense BGM’s along the way. You know what I’m saying, heh.

Overall, the series was great, and you will really spend the most of your 120 minutes of your life here. I know I’m being biased, but hey, this is my blog. I can say whatever I want hah! :) 8.3/10. I’m a sucker for good music. ^^
Somebody please tell me there will be a second season to this one. Hahaha. XD

It’s already been 4 effin’ weeks.. That’s right! A month! . . . Since I last played my keyboards. :( I hate it, I hate it, I hate it! Somebody please fix it! Good thing that it is still covered by the warranty, but my parents still won’t have it repaired.. Gosh! I’m missing it badly! I need my eye-hand coordination practiced again. I need to listen to the product of my hardwork, patience, and perseverance. I need to listen to the tunes of my black and white keys! Please.. I want to listen to my music again.. :’[

If I get it back, I am sooooo gonna use it! Will play the Clannad tracks. I (also) miss it badly..

5cmI’m also waiting for the release of the most-awaited anime-movie yet.. Makoto Shinkai’s fourth monumental production.  I haven’t got any news yet as to what it’s about nor the date of its release. All I know is that he went to London for a vacation. I suppose he got his inspiration there. (He eventually went back to Japan I think). So, I assume that it’s about distance again.

Either way, anyway, I would love to be one of the thousands who can/may have the privilege to watch it (and understand it). I am so looking forward to it.

Also, I haven’t been watching anime lately, so I’m getting left behind. Well, I do watch FMA: Brotherhood and Tears to Tiara. But what I miss the most are the likes of Clannad, Footprints in the Sand, Myself; Yourself, Sola, A Tale of Memories, etc… Let’s get those emotions pumping!

jyukai_thumbAnyone got any news from Jyukai? Manami? Dewa? ANYTHING? I’m starving for a new song from them… Really, if you listen to their music, it’s nearly impossible to not like it, and then love it.. Damn.. My soul can’t stop searching for the things I’ve lost… Really, I need them all back!

I’m still here.. Hoping that when I wake up one day, my fate was changed…

And one thing, Don’t let your academics get in the way of your life. Really, when you grow up, people NEVER EVER care what grades did you get while you were still in school. It’s your personality and interests that matter. It’s how YOU shaped your life SO FAR.  Start living the dream.

True Tears Eps. 1~5 January 25, 2009

Yes, I know it was too little too late, but I just want to share something from this anime to those who haven’t watched it yet. Heck, I’m not yet in a position to do a recommendation, after having only watched the first 5 episodes, but I think everything is clear enough to me now.

First of all, this one has lots of potentials (standing from the 5-episode point of view). The unbelievable tension that’s building up with the main characters had been developed in an awesome way. What’s left now is the resolution, but I’ll leave that to the next 8 episodes.

The animation was nice, although I haven’t heard of any other anime made by P.A. Works yet. What made this anime intriguing was the fact that it was very detail-oriented. A lot of things are going through between-the-lines, and if you’ll re-watch it, it will make you smile and say, “Darn, why didn’t I see that earlier?” kind of stuff.

The voice acting was subpar, though emotions can be felt, I can say that they could’ve done a much better job.

Being another slice-of-life, harem-like genre, it contains a lot of potentials at the start, but certainly, could it be another disappointed? Certainly, I thought sola was a disappointment for me. I didn’t like what happened, but that’s just the way it is.

The OPs and EDs got me in a good mood, especially after knowing that eufonius’ REFLECTIA was the OP. The moment I heard her voice (from Clannad’s OP Megumeru), it was something magical, and cute as well. I liked the melody and overall, it was a good song really (speaking in an anime OP/ED point of view). Aira Yuki’s Sekai no Namida wasn’t a bad ED after all (though the characters-marching-in-the-end scene was a little cliche in ED scenes).

The story seems to me, is the defining moment of True Tears. Aside from the “real world” scenes, Shinichiro manages to tell a story from a distant world every night (just like Clannad and ef ~A Tale of Memories~). Personally, I don’t having such scenes. I think it adds flavor to the story and what better way to cap it off is to link these side-stories to the main plot. The only problem is the transition and the resolution. In the end, I do hope I still rate True Tears as high as it was becoming now. I’ll probably give it a 7.5 out of 10 so far.

~Hanamuke no Merodii,

Hi. It’s been a while since I’ve written on ya. I just want to say that being on vacation is a blast! Half truth, half lie. Haha. But what matters most is that I got my much needed rest. It was way too quiet in the province than in the city. But I still felt the holidays and the yuletide season. And now? It’s gone.. XD Back to reality… Aaaargh.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa, Sevilla, and Fiorentina remained at the top four of their respective leagues! ^^ (all 4th to be precise, haha) However, I really hope that Ashley Young won’t go to Real Madrid. I also hope that Tottenham, Schalke, Werder Bremen, and Roma all move a little higher in their respective league tables.

In the NBA, the Atlanta Hawks and the New Orleans Hornets are doing quite well in their respective conferences. Mike Bibby has somehow retained his Sacramento days while Chris Paul is still IMO the best PG in the league right now.

I also played Personal 2: Eternal Punishment the whole vacation long. Haha. It’s actually a good PS1 RPG game that is as enjoyable as Suikoden II. I really recommend it to all gamers and RPG enthusiasts. In line with this, I will soon watch Persona [anime].

As for anime, I will ASAP catch up with Clannad: After Story, Chaos;Head, and Ef: A Tale of Melodies. I will also watch Perfect Blue and Paranoia Agent. Argh so many things to watch with so little free time at hand. XD

As for my novel, I will continue writing it, but not as dedicated as before. I will update chapters indefinitely now, because of my hectic schedule. XD Probably a chapter a week, at most 2 or 3. It depends upon the situation really. At least for now, Lonely Road has already reached 16 chapters. I’m very happy for that. ^^

I bought myself the best Christmas present to myself this yuletide season – a new keyboard! ^^ It’s absolutely wonderful and I like it. Though it’s just Casio, I still love it. ^^ I can finally finish playing One More Time, One More Chance and Your Hand in Mine. I think I’ll finish River Flows in You as well. ^^ Yeah! Good luck to me!

Also, I’m still waiting for the next releases of Jyukai and/or Aimmy. ^^ Sigh.. Manami has such a wonderful voice. I just don’t get tired listening to her the whole day!

The Choice – Nicholas Sparks

A wonderful, heart-melting, touching story written yet again by Nicholas Sparks. In case you don’t know him, he is the writer of Message in A Bottle, The Notebook, and A Walk to Remember – all played in major motion pictures. It answers the ultimate question of “How far would you go in the name of love.”

A story about young love but adult persons, I never thought that I’d enjoy reading it. At first, I thought it was just a plain story-telling adventure of a man in search of love. But as the chapters progress, it amazes me more and more. And I mean, more! It is unbelievably, wonderfully told! Really a page-turner. I couldn’t imagine I could shed a tear by reading a book.

I recommend it to people of all ages. ^^

Yes. Happy birthday to ~Hanamuke no Merodii. This marks the 365th day of its existence. I’m proud of you, haha! Finally, this blog has reached one year, and well, I learned a lot. A ton actually. Meanwhile, SV Werder Bremen haven’t won a game yet in UCL! That’s nuts. Not even against Panathinaikos, nor Anorthosis Famagusta. This is insane! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Why can’t they win. T-T Even AC Fiorentina can’t win. Waaaahh. Noooo. T-T Luckily though, Aston Villa FC and Sevilla FC are winning in the UEFA Cup. ^^ Yey, congratulations to them.

I haven’t got the chance to watch NBA now that’s why I didn’t join any fantasy games. Haha.
